Use of Basic Lighting (Art Bible Blue Sky) {South of Inferno}

Original Line Work by Jazz For this round of Common Art, I decided to continue on the concept of Satan that Jazz did. This design is different since the team combined the different versions of Satan together as that's what the Art Directors wanted. I liked the idea of the Angel hands being golden ripping open Satans heart as per Christophers idea. Then I tried using contasting colors to catch the viewers eyes like the blood red on the hands and the bright heart in the middle. The legs have some sort of demonic metal, however the team might not persue with creating the characters legs in 3D for production efficiency sake.

Round 2 (Haunted Housekeeping)

For this round in Rapid Prototype Production, me and my team created a game in which players choose to either be a maid or a butler who is trying to save the mansion from destruction before the master arrives at 6:00 AM We went for a very low poly artstyle inspired by games like For The King where there is no texturing involved, only material work, and the interesting thing about the way I modelled the face and eyes is that no matter where you look, the character will look at you, basically like the Mona Lisa. I also rigged these characters and animated them, going for the unique style of invisible simplified limbs to save on weight painting and animation time as we only had 2 weeks to complete this project.

Crates And Barrels Project (Final Display)

Final Presentation Wireframe UV's Concept For this final round, I remastered the topology to cut down on tris, as well as I remastered the UV's in order to make the bake less pixelated and give me more texel density overall. After I baked using the manual cage in substance since the automatic one did not work, I utilized many gradients, some wood and metal textures to give the surface more life and I utilized a viking engraving that I found on the internet that was close enough to the concept. I used blur slope filters to make the textures more stylized and I used level filters to balance features like the engravings. I used black masks and fill layers to add patterns like for the rope and for the rope handle while using baked lighting and generators to complete the stylized look I was going for. I didn't use an Roughness Ambient Occlusion and Metallic map so I could make it look more drawn and less of that sloppy Unreal Engine look. Overall it was a challenge since textur...
